TaraVarta — Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the TaraVarta mobile application ("the app", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. The service

TaraVarta provides Vedic astrology content — birth charts (kundli), panchang, dashas, compatibility (Guna Milan), daily readings, and an AI astrologer that answers your questions based on your chart. The content is generated from the birth details you provide and, for AI replies, with the help of a third-party AI service.

2. For guidance, not professional advice

All astrological content, predictions, remedies, and AI responses are provided for personal guidance and entertainment. They are not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other advice. Do not delay or disregard professional advice because of anything in the app. You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on the content.

3. Accounts & sign-in

You sign in using your phone number, verified via a one-tap phone-verification service or an SMS one-time password. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your device secure. You must provide accurate birth details for the readings to be meaningful; inaccurate input will produce inaccurate content.

4. Questions & payments

AI questions are sold as one-time "question packs" through a third-party payment processor. Prices are shown in the app at the time of purchase. Purchased questions are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase, and buying a new pack extends the validity of your remaining balance. Because access is delivered digitally and immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law or in case of a verified technical failure to deliver.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not misuse, reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the app or its backend.
• Do not use the app for any unlawful purpose or to harass others.
• Do not submit other people's personal/birth details without a lawful basis to do so.

6. Intellectual property

The app, its astrological computation engine, design, and content are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decisions or outcomes resulting from your use of the content.

8. Termination

You may delete your account and data at any time from Profile → "Delete my account & data". We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms; the "Last updated" date will change accordingly. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
